Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger, comte de Saint-Exupery is the full name of Antoine de Saint-Exupery. He was born on 29 June 1900 in Lyon in France. He was a French writer, poet, aristocrat, journalist and pioneering aviator. He wrote Autobiography, belles-lettres, essays and children's literature.

He did his education at the Villa St. Jean International School. Before World War II, Saint-Exupery was a successful commercial pilot working airmail routes in Europe, Africa, and South America. Saint-Exupery's first novella, L'Aviateur (The Aviator), was published in 1926. Saint-Exupery continued to write until the spring of 1943, when he left the United States with American troops bound for North Africa in the Second World War.
