Introduction of International Day of Happiness
The United Nations organizes an annual celebration called the International Day of Happiness on 20th March all around the world. The inaugural International Day of Happiness was celebrated on 20th March 2013, after Jayme Illien, a UN adviser campaigned for several years. He was passionate about eradicating global inequity. Seven main missions were also released this year on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness. They are:

Some Interesting Points About International Day of Happiness
- Relationships were the subject of the 2015 Day of Happiness campaign. We are social beings that thrive when we are in close proximity to other people. However, as a result of technological advancement in civilization, an increasing number of individuals are experiencing detached, alone, or unhappy. Thousands of individuals from all across the world reached out on this day to form new good relationships.
- People were encouraged to submit genuine photos of what makes them happy as part of the 2014 Day of Happiness campaign to "Reclaim Happiness" from the deceptive commercial images of contentment that we are constantly inundated with. - According to the report 2021, Finland was named the happiest country in the world for four consecutive times. Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, and the Netherlands were placed second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
