Artists are the people among us who realize creation didn't stop on the sixth day.

I wanted my photographs to be as powerful as the last thing a person sees or remembers before death.

I have consecrated my life to changing matter into spirit with the hope of someday seeing it all.

Extreme things are like miracles. Nothing is as boring as a person who is just okay.

If there is pain in my photographs, it relates to the pain in my own existence.

My purpose is to acknowledge the wonder of being part of Creation. Though I myself don't create anything, I make from what has been created.

My work would have the impact of my unreality - my doubts.

I could easily live in a world populated with disjunctive, bizarre things.

You already have and are

I actually have two children now, and sometimes I wonder if that's it. Because they do make writing and directing more complicated and more difficult, especially now that they're very young.

Children... are our legacy. Our responsibility. They are our destiny and we are theirs. The extent to which we fail as parents, we fail as Gods children.

We can guess that the unacceptable conduct of the soldiers at Abu Ghraib resulted in part from the dangerous state of affairs on the ground in a theater of war.

It is time to effect a revolution in female manners - time to restore to them their lost dignity. It is time to separate unchangeable morals from local manners.

I don't appreciate the disrespect, because I've been playing hurt for a guy who won't respect you. I don't deserve it...It's time for me to move on.

One can always trust to time. Insert a wedge of time and nearly everything straightens itself out.
