Because ALS is underfunded, patients have had no option but to fade away and die. That is not OK.

Through adversity we find our heroes.

I look at the human life like an experiment. Every new moment, every new experience, tragic or otherwise, is an opportunity to gain a more accurate perspective and helps lead me to clarity.

We all have a timeline. Most of us don't live like we have a timeline.

Many ALS patients end up fading away quietly and dying. For me, this was not OK. I did not want to fade away quietly.

Does anyone know if Lamborghini makes wheelchair vehicles? If not, I want to change that.

I have moments where I miss my old self. But I think anyone can get caught up in what we used to have. But at the same time, we can choose to focus on the beauty of now.

We have all made mistakes in this life. How we learn from our mistakes is the measure of who we are.

A terminal diagnosis can really mess with your head. Honestly, it makes you want to run away to the moon. Many ALS patients want to fade away quietly. This was not for me.

My life is not easy, but it's awesome.

Upward and Onward

No matter where you once were, no matter how dark your storm, God doesn't want you to remain there. Overcoming may not be easy, but it's possible when you ask your Father to battle for you.

Is that what you meant when you said the more you love a person the harder your heart breaks?

I wanted to be a Teacher with a big T: teach the whole planet. It led me into writing and speaking to large groups.

I do not wish women to have power over men but over themselves.

And thoughts of no other man but you could possibly get through the picket lines to enter into my mind.

The person who can laugh with life has developed deep roots with confidence and faith-faith in oneself, in people and in the world, as contrasted to negative ideas with distrust and discouragement.

If I had the energy, I would have done it all over the county.

To know that the Bible is the literature of a barbarous people, to know that it is uninspired, to be certain that the supernatural does not and cannot exist - all this is but the beginning of wisdom.
