How much of our literature, our political life, our friendships and love affairs, depend on being able to talk peacefully in a bar!

I have nothing to say. And I am saying it. That's poetry.

The cinema is - in Jean Cocteau’s famous words - ‘a dream that can be dreamt by many people at the same time’.

And I, a twister, love, what I abhor.

We are all butterflies. Earth is our chrysalis.

Knowledge is knowing the depth of the ocean. Wisdom is knowing till where to swim.

In every relationship, you can always see the ego of the other, but you cannot see your own – and the other one goes on seeing your ego.

Healthy life is a sacred being.

Mankind will endure when the world appreciates the logic of diversity.

But you can't truly hate a man without loving him first, and there's always a trace of that love left over.

I loved him for himself alone.

One only has an adventure when one makes a mistake, but [as] my grandmother used to say: "You don't have to get out of trouble if you don't get into trouble."

The United States were a 35-year-old man, I think he'd be in a mental institution. Violent tendencies - delusions of grandeur - medicate heavily.

You're blinded by lights and you see all these people who come out, and it's exciting. It's scary and it's exciting all rolled into one.
