I believe in destiny...what's going to be is going to be. If I'm going to win, I'm going to win...I don't give a damn what the other guy shoots. I'm going to win if it's my turn.

I think Christmas is about celebration and come on, on the inside everyone wants to dance.

I still worry that I could be better. That's where standards come from, from not wanting to settle. The fear of not being good enough propels you.

I started out as a writer. Poetry and prose and also kind of satirical David Sedaris-esque stuff.

I think age is really changing how I write and the themes that I connect with. But there are also things I'm really intrigued about.

But you can't realize, you can't know what another person goes through.

I know I'm known for singing some of those high notes but that's really not what giving someone goose bumps is all about. It's about really trying to find what makes you unique...

Ideas and philosophies change just as machines do. Religions changed because of the birth control pill. Politics changes because of the hydrogen bomb. All because of science fictional inventions.

We see light, not dark. But it is in the dark that we feel goblins and ghosts.
