I was born to make mistakes, not to fake perfection

Tables turn, bridges burn, you live and learn.

No matter how dirty your past is, your future is still spotless.

Live without pretending, love without depending, listen without defending, speak without offending.

Sometimes I wish I could go back in life, not to change things but just to feel things twice

Guess you lose some & win some, long as the outcome is income.

Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination.

Crazy how you gotta wait until it's dark out to see who really with you.

Over time you realize that some people just aren't worth it anymore.

Never say that you regret something, because at one point in your life, you wanted it.

The essence of the Dharma (the teachings of the Buddha) is about identifying the cause of our suffering & alleviating it.

As I write this entry, I touch a saber-tooth tiger skull in my office. Without stars there could be no skulls

If you dissemble sometimes your knowledge of that you are thought to know, you shall be thought, another time, to know that you know not.

I don't think I want to write a third book. But the more people talk to me about it, the more I think maybe I do.

There is no room in music for the second-rate - it might just as well be the nineteenth-rate.

New every morning is the love Our waking and uprising prove, Through sleep and darkness safely brought, Restored to life and power and thought.

Then God sends us such a messenger who appears to us in spirit, warns us, consoles us, teaches us, and brings us His good tidings.

Heaven & Hell are both creations of desire.

That's a skill that I'm proud of: to be able to be a jazz musician and go a bit crazy sometimes and other times be able to pull it all in and lay it down like a track.
