I'm very particular who I work with. I'm not interested in portraying women with a cliched, generic look. I'm interested in a model who I can take a portrait of.

I like capturing stuff that is disappearing - that’s the point of photography. What I am photographing is an imaginary place that never existed, but is connected to something that has already been.

Only photograph what you love.

I don’t believe in originality. You take inspiration from whatever moves you and you find your voice in those things.

Your aim as a photographer is to get a picture of that person that means something. Portraits aren't fantasies; they need to tell a truth.

What God has written for your life, no human being can alter it.

The varying physical characteristics of the actors may also necessitate changes. Sean Connery is six feet four. Dustin Hoffman isn't.

What you become is what counts.

This is the case with thousands: they appear desirous of knowing the truth, but have not patience to wait in a proper way to receive an answer to their question.

Competitiveness has been a big thing for me.

I don't rate myself as a fantastic, talented athlete. I just have perseverance. I'm a cart horse. I work hard.
