I made no resolutions for the New Year. The habit of making plans, of criticizing, sanctioning and molding my life, is too much of a daily event for me.

Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.

Adolescence is like cactus.

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are.

Life, religion and art all converge in Bali. They have no word in their language for 'artist' or 'art.' Everyone is an artist.

Each friend represents a world in us, a world not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.

For now, this afternoon, you saw and touchedmy heart, dissolved and liquid in your hands.

Joy has nothing to do with material things or with a man's outward circumstance ... a man living in the lap of luxury can be wretched and a man in the depths of poverty can overflow with joy.

To be is to be perceived

I just have a position that any child that's in a failing school should be able to get out, or be in a position to have that school fixed.

I am extremely lucky that I have a husband who is so supportive. He's not in the slightest bit jealous or worried about the things I do in certain scenes.

Justice is a temporary thing that must at last come to an end; but the conscience is eternal and will never die.
