It is a responsibility to be who you are and not let this sport [racing] change you and not let the good runs and success or the bad runs change you. You've got to be the same person all the time.

Racing is not football or baseball or basketball where you can do it yourself. If you're good in high school, you just shine. (But in racing) you have to have a family behind you.

I want to be real. I don't want to pose as anything. I don't want to pose as a tough guy. I don't want to pose as a nice guy.

I enjoy doing martial arts films, but I like the straight stuff, too. I'd like to go back and do some Shakespeare, and maybe knock out a play or two. It's all about keeping balance.

I just use fashion as an excuse to talk about politics. Because I'm a fashion designer, it gives me a voice, which is really good.
