Remember that mentor leadership is all about serving. Jesus said, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

If you know who you are, it reduces your fear of trials

Life is so urgent it necessitates living slow.

Our bodies are shaped to bear children, and our lives are a working out of the processes of creation. All our ambitions and intelligence are beside that great elemental point.

He who allows himself to be arrested for a crime he did not commit will be expelled from the party, but if he resists and comes to us on a stretcher, he is a hero.

Men may make laws to hinder and fetter the ballot, but men cannot make laws that will bind or retard the growth of manhood.

You never shrink in stature by lifting someone else up.

Children always think they did something wrong when their parents disappear.

Talent imitates, but genius steals.

And remember: Everything in business is a paradox. To be excellent, you have to be consistent. When you're consistent, you're vulnerable to attack. Yes, it's a paradox. Now deal with it!

If we have a strength, it is in recognizing when we are operating well within our circle of competence and when we are approaching the perimeter.
