The Gospels and the rest of the New Testament reflect the life of Jesus, what it means for us & what it means for the world.

When I pray for another person, I am praying for God to open my eyes so that I can see that person as God does, and then enter into the stream of love that God already directs toward that person.

I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will make sense only in reverse.

Yet as I read the birth stories about Jesus I cannot help but conclude that though the world may be tilted toward the rich and powerful, God is tilted toward the underdog.

I doubt God keeps track of how many arguments we win; God may indeed keep track of how well we love.

A relationship isn't something that has to be created in a day or perfected in a day. Part of the game is to keep working on it. It's something that'll always be just a little flawed.

The time has come to lay that baggage down and leave behind all the struggling and striving. You can be set free as you journey forward into a balanced healthy and rewarding future.

God's self-revelation is a higher authority than our feelings.

People don't know what it means to be champions. Oklahoma invented it.

If you're with one person, then you don't have to meet other people. It's like when you're acting in a movie, you don't have to audition for other movies. I prefer that.

You will never truly know yourself or the strength of your relationships until both have been tested by adversity.
