The U.S. incarcerates more of its people than any nation in the world, or any nation in history.

Children are happy because they don't have a file in their minds called "All the Things That Could Go Wrong.

Ego says, "Once everything falls into place, I'll feel peace". Spirit says, "Find your peace, and then everything will fall into place".

People hear you on the level you speak to them from. Speak from your heart, and they will hear with theirs.

No one is any more or any less important than you are.

We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what's wrong in your life, or you can focus on what's right.

Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

We are not here to fix, change or belittle another person. We are here to support, forgive and heal one another.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

The mind and the spirit can be detached from the physical body in deep meditation. Once the mind and spirit get detached from the physical body, the inner process of life becomes clear to you.

But for all of them, regardless of their ability, the responsibility of their education falls to the teacher. And who can fulfill that for every single child? What teacher is capable of that?

Having love is more important than having a lover

Whatever we choose to imagine can be as private as we want it to be. Nobody knows what you're thinking or feeling unless you share it.

I would like to see our society mature, and become more rational and more knowledge-based, less emotion-based.

Even before I started writing songs, that was one of my goals to be a writer, and I still have that goal. I've just gotten sidetracked.

I really enjoyed working on the first one [Batman franchise] and I wish I could have worked with Chris Nolan again and I hope to work with him again.

You need to laugh more. Life is filled with too many problems, to not laugh every day... We need to have a sense of humor going into this because it's too tough without it.
